Year 3

Battle of Duro

At 0221 local time, Operation Durge's Lance had broken through the outer system defenses of Duro, destroying four Golan Arms battle platforms, and three Acclamator-class shipsAnvil, Coronet, and Bolide. Also destroyed were two Dreadnaught-class heavy cruisersProminence, and Atrisian Iron. After the initial attack, only four more Acclamators, a Victory-class Star Destroyer, and another Dreadnaught remained.
One of
Duro's largest space cities, Jyvus Space City, had surrendered to the Confederate Navy. Divisions of battle droids transformed the floating city into a field command station for the Office of the General. At the same time Duro Chief Representative Officer Hoolidan Keggle had gone missing. Intelligence speculated that Keggle fled the city down to the planet below.
The
First and Third Fleets of the Confederate Navy, the original task force launched from Yag'Dhul, had been provisioned by supply lines from Sullust and Thyferra. Techno Union ships had launched Seismic EMP countermines to clear the way for an easy attack.
To counter the
Confederate fleet, the Galactic Republic sent a squadron of Jedi starfighters and two wings of V-19 Torrent starfighters. But Vulture droids and Droid tri-fighters easily broke through the Republic counterattack, managing to destroy another three assault ships. The Confederate forces were then positioned to cut off all Republic reinforcements from Kuat or Nubia.
After capturing
Jyvus Space City, the Confederacy was able to drop the planetary shields protecting Duro. Separatist drop fighters and capital ships began orbital bombardment of planetside industrial factories.
The bombardment let the troops land and during a week of hard fighting, city after city began to fall to the Confederacy until
Hoolidan Keggle signed General Grievous's capitulation to the Separatists. The battle lasted less than a week.

Aftermath

Following the battle, the Senate Bureau of Intelligence investigated causes of the defeat. A month later, in a report issues by Agent Inglemenn Barezz, it was revealed that the three Venator-class Star Destroyers that were to have been assigned to protect Duro had been reassigned to "shakedown cruises" by the Senate Action Subcommittee for Corellian Trade Spine Defense.
It was also revealed that, in reality, the Committee's chairman,
Rodian Senator Onaconda Farr, had reassigned the ships to Iseno after being bribed with contracts for rebuilding on Ando by the Isenese senator, Ronet Coorr.
After the release of the report, both Coorr and Farr resigned from the
Senate. A public backlash against both the Senate and Rodians in general was provoked, with calls for giving the Supreme Chancellor full power to conduct the war and for giving Humans command of fleets stationed around rival planets. A full investigation of Senate Action Subcommittees was launched with the goal of restructuring, and possibly even eliminating, them. It is possible that this political restructuring also could have been one of the events that lead to the Sector Governance Decree.
The Battle of Duro was one of General Grievous' most impressive military victories, and caused many within the
Republic to view him as a greater threat than Count Dooku.

Battle of Humbarine

Humbarine was an ancient ecumenopolis and a Core Founder. It was the capital world of a rich and heavily industrialized sector.[3] The planet was also loyal to the Republic during the Clone Wars, thus making it a target for the Separatists.

The battle
Some time following the
conquest of Duro, a CIS fleet under General Grievous's flagship Invisible Hand launched several assaults on Humbarine.[2] This included an hour-long orbital bombardment that melted the crust of the planet, thus destroying the planetwide metropolis and presumably killing much of the population.

Aftermath
Survivors from the sector defense forces, like
Barrow Oicunn, were relocated to other Republic units for the remainder of the war.[2] With additional planets in the sector falling to the CIS,[4] the entire Humbarine sector was eventually considered lost to the Separatists and abandoned by the Republic.[2]
This battle, along with CIS assaults on 26 strategic Loyalist worlds in the
Core and the release of the Loedorvian Brain Plague into the Weemell sector (which wiped out almost every Human there), likely contributed to much of the Humanocentric policies of the Galactic Empire.

Battle of Alderaan

Around 20 BBY, the Trade Federation had gathered warships in the Alderaan system. These were not enough to launch a full-scale invasion of Alderaan, but enough to harass any convoys attempting to send aid.
As a result of this, a convoy sending vital goods to Alderaan was put under the protection of a
Republic task force, specifically aimed at engaging any Separatist forces that tried to stop them.
Due to Alderaan's insignificant military capabilities, they depended upon the Republic forces to do battle alone, and all Jedi fighters were told to spread out and engage enemy fighters as soon as they exited hyperspace, drawing their fire away from the convoy.

A different path
Right before the convoy prepared to jump into
hyperspace, one of the Jedi interceptors was infiltrated and hijacked by Padawan Flynn Kybo, looking to link up with a small group of Jedi plotting to assassinate General Grievous on their own.

Aftermath
The outcome of the battle appeared to be a victory for the Republic, as Alderaan was said to have been "threatened", not "conquered", by the CIS, yet the horrors of the
Clone Wars was enough for the Alderaanians to dismantle what little military capability they had after the war.
Though they publicly claimed to have no weapons left, they actually put their arsenal on board the unmanned
Alderaanian War Frigate Another Chance, which was left to jump through hyperspace unless recalled by the Alderaanian Council of Elders.

Weemel Sector Plague
The Loedorvian Brain Plague was an extremely deadly plague used as a biological weapon by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the height of the Clone Wars. The plague attacked the brain and central nervous system in Humans, killing them in a short period of time. General Grievous ordered Separatist forces to release the plague on the Weemell Sector, wiping out the entire Human population, including the clone troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic. The sector was rendered uninhabitable in a matter of months.
Battle of Foerost
The large Techno Union-held shipyards of Foerost had been blockaded by the Galactic Republic since the beginning of the war, to ensure that the factories there would atrophy, being severed from the CIS supply line.
Almost two full years after the blockade was initiated, Techno Union engineers emerged from the system with their newest weapon: the Mark I
Bulwark-class battlecruiser, a kilometer-long metal behemoth that rammed through the Republic ships with ease. Bristling with ion cannons, turbolasers, and significant armor, the Bulwark Fleet smashed outposts all through Coruscant's Sector Zero with impunity, aged Sullustan commander Dua Ningo leading the way.
Aftermath
In the face of such reckless hate, the Republic's hand was forced; they debuted their newest ship, the
Victory I-class Star Destroyer, half a year ahead of schedule. Led by young Captains Jan Dodonna and Terrinald Screed, the Victory Fleet fought valiantly in battles at Ixtlar, Alsakan, and Basilisk; however, Ningo and the Bulwark Fleet remained intact.
The final battle in the Foerost conflict came to an end above
Anaxes, where the Bulwark Fleet was finally destroyed.
Battle of Ixtlar
one of several taking place between the Republic Victory Fleet and the Separatist Bulwark Fleet.
The battle was inconclusive as the Bulwark Fleet remained a threat, forcing the Victory Fleet to pursue it further.

Battle of Alsakan
one of several taking place between the Republic Victory Fleet and the Separatist Bulwark Fleet.
The battle was inconclusive as the Bulwark Fleet remained a threat, forcing the Victory Fleet to pursue it further.

Battle of Basilisk
one of several taking place between the Republic Victory Fleet and the Separatist Bulwark Fleet.
The battle was inconclusive as the Bulwark Fleet remained a threat, forcing the Victory Fleet to pursue it further. Eventually, the
Separatist fleet would be destroyed at the Battle of Anaxes.
Battle of Anaxes
It was the final showdown in the confrontation between the Victory Fleet and the Bulwark Fleet.
After three previous battles, the two fleets met in the
Axum system and fought above Anaxes. With Captain Jan Dodonna's Republic task force pinned down and taking heavy fire, Captain Terrinald Screed managed to flank CIS commander Dua Ningo and his Bulwark-class battlecruisers, reducing his flagship—and Ningo himself—to atoms.
Although scarred for life and forced to wear
prosthetic replacements, Screed survived the battle to return to Coruscant with Dodonna and be hailed as heroes by the Galactic Republic.
Battle of Honoghr
The Gahenna, a Separatist starship carrying trihexalophine1138, a toxic defoliant, was en route to use the toxin on Naboo when it was intercepted by a Republic Acclamator I-class assault ship above Honoghr. Both ships were heavily damaged, drawn into the atmosphere and launched escaped pods, but the Republic cruiser was able to escape. The Separatist ship crashed into Honoghr's surface, breaking off the highest peak of a tall mountain in the process, and began to leak the forest-killing 1138. The Noghri killed all survivors and strew their armor across the temples of Honoghr.
Jedi General Rii'ke En was sent with a clone trooper to gather intelligence on the ship, toxin and ground situation. After three days they discovered the crashed ship and tracked the location of the toxin's Scientific Instrument Package (SIP) to a Rakatan temple. En reported his findings back to General Aayla Secura and was told to wait for reinforcements. The pair, however, was spotted and killed by the Noghri.
Commander Bly and a squad of his clone troopers were assigned to Aayla Secura and the group was tasked with retrieval of the SIP. Approaching the temple, the squad came under Noghri attack. Bly and Secura, the only survivors, retreated into the temple. The Noghri closed in, but were sniped by Quinlan Vos with a blaster.
The timely arrival of Vos and his official status as a traitor to the
Republic made Bly wary of the Jedi, but Secura vouched for her former master, stating that she believed he was merely infiltrating Dooku's operation and had not fallen to the dark side of the Force. As a sign of his loyalty, Vos volunteered to aid them in retrieving the SIP and claimed he would report to Dooku that he had arrived after their retrieval. Bly followed Secura’s order to work with Vos, and he complied. The trio fought their way through the temple its central vault. Using the Force, Vos translated the sigils on the vault door to determine that it was booby-trapped to fire Noghri hyperdarts if opened. While he opened the door, Secura used the Force to draw the SIP to her hand. Unable to close the door, they beat a hasty retreat through the path Vos entered. Arriving at Vos’ ship, he demanded the SIP from Secura, claiming that he needed it to gain Dooku’s trust. The pair argued, Vos claiming that he needed to earn Dooku's confidence to discover the identity of the second Sith Lord, and Secura refusing. The two entered a lightsaber duel, and Bly was knocked aside by Vos.
Eventually, Vos disarmed Secura and threatened her life. Filled with rage, Secura tried to point out Vos’ clear fall to the dark side, and insisted that he would have to kill her to gain the SIP. Vos, blinded by rage, moved for the kill when Bly shot him in the shoulder. He fired several more shots, but Aayla blocked them with her blade, allowing Vos to escape.

Aftermath
The pair returned the SIP to the Republic, but Honoghr was altered into an inhospitable, ecologically wrecked world.

Battle of Agamar
Not much is known about the Battle of Agamar, other than that the pounding of AT-TE walkers on the natural bridges on Agamar caused them to collapse, resulting in catastrophic Republic casualties.
This presumably resulted in a victory for the
Confederacy of Independent Systems. The battle would become the cause of the production of UT-AT artillery repulsorlift vehicles.
Mission to Vandos
The mission was thought to be simple, the plan was to land ahead of the approaching Separatist invasion fleet and bring out Ambassador Guiyyen. The Jedi however, found a large force of battle droids awaiting them and realized that the ambassador was the bait for the trap. The trap was set by General Grievous who was relentless in his pursuit and killed countless troopers and Jedi. With only a small force left the Jedi's escape with Quiyyen was in jeopardy. With the survivors making their escape, Jedi Master T'chooka D'oon stepped into the breach, giving the survivors time to escape. He engaged Grievous in a lightsaber duel and Grievous made short work of him.
Battle of Gentes
General Grievous led the attack, with a battalion of battle droids behind him, leaving no opening for the unsuspecting Ugnaught inhabitants of Gentes. Grievous quickly destroyed the Ugnaught Administration Hub, disabling the planet's defenses, and took the entire Ugnaught population prisoner. Grievous then killed all the Ugnaughts due to their uselessness.
Battle of Drongar

By seven months after the Battle of Geonosis, Republic forces were in need of reinforcements. The Acclamator I-class assault ship VCD987 was dispatched with a fresh detachment of clone troopers and Jedi Knights Tsui Choi, Sian Jeisel, and Kai Justiss. En route, the Republic cruiser was ambushed by Quarren Separatists loyal to Count Dooku. With its engines disabled, Dooku and Sora Bulq led the Quarren soldiers in a boarding action. After securing the Jedi, Bulq was ordered to slay the surviving clone troopers, cutting off reinforcements to Drongar.
When the Separatists learned that the bota mutated too fast and became useless, the Confederacy descended upon the planet and drove the Republic forces off, then left it alone.

Duel on Kiffu
The Failed Meeting
When Dooku arrived on Kiffu, he met with Sheyf
Tinté Vos, proposing that the former Guardian side with the Confederacy. Refusing to be swayed by Dooku's firebrand retoric, the Sheyf did not side with the Confederacy, revealing her belief that her people would rise to power after the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy had exhausted each other.
Dooku, admitting that he feared as much, ordered his acolytes to engage the Sheyf's guards and kill her. With that the battle was on.

The Battle

Though they fought valiantly against Dooku's acolytes, the Guardians were sorely overmatched. With a path to the Sheyf cleared, Quinlan Vos advanced on her. However, his hesitation to kill his aunt compelled Kadrian Sey to attempt to do it herself. However, when she leapt at the Sheyf, Quinlan swung out with his saber and killed her. By that act he revealed himself to be a Republic agent.
With that, Vos scooped up his aunt fled deeper into her palace with
a burst of Force-assisted speed. Dooku pursued, ordering Tol Skorr to finish off the guard.

The Sheyf's secret
As Tinté Vos screamed for him to unhand her, Quinlan came to a stop in a deserted room deep within the palace. Revealing to her that he was a Republic agent, he only received accusations of being involved in a Republic scheme to subjugate and control Kiffu and Kiffex. As Vos and his aunt argued, Dooku suddenly appeared, claiming to have known all along that Quinlan was an agent.
As Vos took up his lightsaber and charged at the Count, Dooku parried the blow, and stated that Vos didn't know what he was protecting. Before the duel could continue any further, Dooku caught Vos in a Force grip and lifted him off the ground, while depriving him of his lightsaber. As Dooku dropped Quinlan, Tinté accused him of being a lier and warned Quinlan to disregard anything he said.
Dooku countered by telling Quinlan to not believe what the Count said, but what the Jedi saw. Vos realized Dooku was referring to the psychometric abilities possessed by the Kiffu people. Vos stated that this ability couldn't be used on a sentient, living being, only inanimate objects. But Dooku told Quinlan to augment the ability with the
Dark Side of the Force to allow him to do so.
Quinlan did so, and proceeded to forcefully 'read' his aunt. First he found out that Tinté had murdered her brother so as to usurp his position as Sheyf. Then he found out that she made a deal with the Anzati journeying to Kiffex, following the call of
Volfe Karkko. However, to seal the deal, the Anzati required 'blood of her blood', i.e, a relative of her's to feast on. Finding out that Tinté had sacrificed his parents to the Anzat, Quinlan broke the connection and angrily questioned her as to why. Tinté Vos revealed she did so to gain custody of Quinlan, so as to mold him into an heir. She also explained why she murdered her brother, considering the former Sheyf too friendly with the Republic and the Jedi. Quinlan declared her a murderer who deserved to die, and Dooku encouraged this sentiment, stating that justice demanded it. The Count proceeded to return Vos' lightsaber so the Jedi might 'deliver justice' himself.
Quinlan Vos butchered his terrified aunt, at last gaining full acceptance into Dooku's cadre of acolytes, as it was clear now his conversion was no deception.

Aftermath
Following Dooku's and his acolytes' victory, the CIS proceeded to subjugate Kiffu.
Zac'ryah Vos, also a Guardian, was killed in the process.

Battle of Azure Spaceport

The Separatist forces tracked Obi-Wan Kenobi, Siri Tachi, Anakin Skywalker, and Padmé Amidala by means of a tracer device planted in a foolproof codebreaker. This had been brought by Talesan Fry, who agreed to turn the codebreaker over to the Old Republic at a hidden base on Azure.
The base had meager defenses, and was badly outnumbered by the huge Separatist fleet. The Republic forces had to surrender control of the planet.
General Solomahal, the general of the base, was determined not to let the codebreaker into Separatist hands, and before he was captured, he managed to destroy it.

Battle of Praesitlyn

Operation Case White
Despite possessing the state-of-the-art communications complex known as the Intergalactic Communications Center, Praesitlyn had few defenses. Having recently taken the planet from the Confederacy, the Republic had stationed a garrison of fifty thousand troops to defend the communications node. In response,
Dark Jedi Asajj Ventress ordered Muun Admiral Pors Tonith of the InterGalactic Banking Clan to initiate Operation Case White, the codename for the plan to retake Praesitlyn. From the bridge of his flagship Corpulentus, Tonith commanded a fleet of 200 ships to Praesitlyn and sent another flotilla of 75 capital ships and 51 support ships to blockade Sluis Van.
With the Republic forces on Praesitlyn cut off from reinforcements, Pors Tonith's fleet attacked the planet, landing a force of fifty thousand
battle droids to lure the garrison, under the command of General Khamar, into an engagement. This proved to be a trap, and Tonith landed a droid army one million strong behind Khamar's forces and completely destroyed them. Two soldiers, recon scout Odie Subu and pilot Erk H'Arman managed to escape the droids and flee into the desert. Without its garrison, the communications center easily fell to the Confederacy, and Admiral Tonith set up his headquarters inside the base. Operation Case White was a success.
A system-wide jamming field transmitted from a modified
Droid Control Ship prevented the Republic garrison from sending out a distress call, and the rest of the galaxy remained unaware of what had transpired. However, Captain Zozridor Slayke, leader of the Loyalist volunteer army Freedom's Sons, learned of the Praesitlyn conquest and alerted Republic High Command on Coruscant. The arrogant captain was not patient enough to wait for Republic reinforcements and made the brash decision of attacking the Confederacy with his private militia. Slayke managed to land his forces, but was overwhelmed by the superior droid army and forced to retreat into a fortified redoubt near the Intergalactic Communications Center and await the Republic reinforcements.
On Coruscant,
Jedi Master Nejaa Halcyon and Padawan Anakin Skywalker were assigned a naval battle group with a contingent of 20,000 clone troopers and tasked with the recapture of Praesitlyn.

Republic Cavalry
Back on Praesitlyn, Pors Tonith launched an all-out assault on the Freedom’s Sons redoubt, managing to completely decimate Slayke’s air support and artillery. But before he could completely destroy the bunker, the Republic task force arrived in system and moved to break the Separatists’ orbital blockade. General Halcyon commanded the battle from the
Centax-class frigate Ranger and Anakin Skywalker oversaw the landing force from the CR90 corvette Neelian. The Ranger quickly dispatched of the jamming ship with a volley of high-yield MG1-A proton torpedoes, but the Confederate Navy counterattacked. The heavy cruiser By'ynium was the first ship destroyed by Separatist fire, and soon droid skirmishers boarded Nejaa’s flagship, forcing the crew to scuttle the ship. The Republic ships were eventually able to drive away the CIS warships, taking control of the skies above Praesitlyn.
The military transports of the
Grand Army of the Republic landed in four waves: combat engineers, infantry, then Anakin’s and Nejaa’s clone troopers. Admiral Tonith was forced to withdraw his droids from the attack on the Freedom’s Sons base and rearrange them into a defensive arrangement around the mesa the Intergalactic Communications Center was situated upon. He then contacted Asajj Ventress and lobbied her for reinforcements.
The
Jedi used Zozridor Slayke’s command center as their base of operations and the captain agreed to place his surviving forces under Republic command. While planning their next move, they received a message from Pors Tonith: the survivors of the original garrison were being held hostage in the communications center and would be executed unless the Republic ceased its attack. Halcyon, Skywalker, and Slayke eventually decided to carry out a feint at the center of the droid formations, while their main force would attack from the Separatists’ right flank. Unfortunately, their clone scouts were unable to relay vital intelligence – that the droid army’s right flank was heavily reinforced – back to HQ before the attack began. Anakin Skywalker acted as field commander for the operation, and led the clone army from a Juggernaught tank [source?]. The attack ended in disaster for the Republic forces, as they were unable to breach the Confederacy’s multiple defensive lines and took heavy losses, forcing Skywalker to order a tactical retreat. The Separatists also tapped into the Republic battlenet and ordered their artillery to fire upon several clone battalions trying to take a droid fortification. General Halcyon then called off the attack.

Endgame

With the failure of their frontal assault, the Loyalist forces were forced to rethink their strategy. Anakin Skywalker suggested that he lead a commando unit into the Intergalactic Communications Center and attempt to liberate the hostages and capture the Separatists’ command bunker. General Halycon and captain Slayke agreed and Anakin began his rescue operation.
A contingent of a few
ARC troopers and a couple of squads clone commandos accompanied Anakin in two transports to the communications base, and easily secured a landing zone. Once inside the base, Anakin and his unit easily fought through the security droids and managed to liberate the prisoners, but Reija Momen, chief administrator of the base, was killed by a battle droid. Enraged by the murder of another innocent, Anakin let his hate reign free and set off on a rampage against the surviving droids. The freed hostages and the commando team returned to the transports, but they were attacked by droids and were forced to leave without Anakin. The young Jedi continued to pave a path of destruction toward Pors Tonith’s HQ, and he was able to cut through the bunker’s doors with his lightsaber. Inside, Skywalker forced the Separatist admiral to surrender, but hesitated to execute him when he heard the voice of Qui-Gon Jinn telling him to yield. With the droids deactivated, it appeared that the Battle of Praesitlyn was nearing its end.
Unfortunately for the Republic, Pors Tonith’s long-awaited reinforcements arrived in system just seconds after the admiral transmitted his surrender. A large Confederate fleet used a
cloaking device to sneak up on the Republic blockade and spring a surprise attack. Nejaa and Skywalker boarded their Jedi starfighters and joined the space battle. During the battle, Anakin miraculously managed to destroy the Separatist flagship’s bridge by making a suicidal attack run in his customized starfighter, the Azure Angel II. To Nejaa, it appeared that the Chosen One had perished in the subsequent explosion. Through superior tactics, the Republic fleet was able force the CIS armada to withdraw. The Battle of Praesitlyn was finally won.

Aftermath

Nejaa Halcyon returned to the surface and was congratulated by Zozridor Slayke. Incredibly, Anakin Skywalker soon reappeared, having been able to avoid the Separatist flagship’s destruction by making a hyperspace microjump using the Force. Afterwards, Odie Subu and Erk H'Arman asked Anakin to preside over their marriage ceremony.
Two percent of the clone casualties came from dehydration. The Republic army consumed 2000 metric tons of supplies per day of operation. Resupply could only occur at a rate of 1000 tons per day, and with a high number of transport casualties.
In truth,
Palpatine had engineered the battle, desiring to draw Anakin further into the thrall of the dark side.

Space battle (Saesee Tiin)

This space battle was fought between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems in the final stage of the war. The forces of the Republic included Venator-class Star Destroyers and ARC-170 starfighters, while the Separatist forces included droid tri-fighters and Providence-class carrier/destroyers. Jedi General Saesee Tiin flew an Eta-2 Actis-class light interceptor while Republic Naval forces engaged the Separatists en masse.
Tiin was confronted and chased by a group of droid tri-fighters. The
Jedi Master was unable to evade his enemies until the arrival of Anakin Skywalker in an Eta-2, after which the two Jedi joined forces to destroy the droid ships before returning to the main battle.

Battle of unidentified planet (bubble wort projectors)

Generals Aayla Secura, Voolvif Monn, and Agen Kolar were in battle with a group of LM-432 crab droids, armed with bubble wort projectors.
The three Jedi became ensnared in the bubbles.
Anakin Skywalker appeared and fought with the crab droids on the planet, destroying them with a range of tactics, including Force Throw and exceptional lightsaber skills. Anakin then used the Force to free the Jedi.
There was perhaps a space portion of the battle as a ruined
core ship was seen grounded in the background.

Battle of Bomis Koori IV

The Battle of Bomis Koori IV was a battle that took place on Bomis Koori IV, the headquarters of Separatist Koorivar forces fighting on the planet's surrounding worlds of the Clone Wars.
Anticipating a massive
Jedi force storming on his fortresses, Koorivar General Oro Dassyne built up a gigantic network of defensive guns, covering much of the structure facing the open plains, as well as establishing a ray shield around these defenses. He envisioned a total slaughter of any Jedi forces advancing on the fortress-city.

The battle

Despite all preparations, the General was surprised to find that two Jedi Knights, leading a small army of clone troopers, had gotten past his defense-network. Prior to their attack, Jedi Knights Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker had infiltrated the fortress and disabled the defensive shield, leaving the Separatist forces vulnerable to both starfighter strikes and orbital bombardment.
As the Jedi destroyed the General's forces,
Venator-class Star Destroyers and ARC-170 starfighters devastated Dassyne's defensive guns, shattering his vision of a prolonged engagement—and him.

Battle of Bal'demnic

When Commerce Guild scouts discovered traces of cortosis in the cliffs of Bal'demnic, the Confederacy moved in. In the face of the Confederacy armed forces, the native Kon'me leaders were given little choice but to allow a major mining operation to proceed.[1]
Jedi intelligence managed to intercept leaked Confederacy communications, which alerted them to the situation on Bal'demnic.
Mace Windu knew full well that if cortosis fell into the hands of Confederacy, the ramifications for the Jedi would be disastrous. The Jedi High Council appointed Halagad Ventor and Sha Koon to lead a battalion of clone troopers with several other Jedi in an important mission to sabotage the mining operation.

Battle

Although the native Kon'me leaders allowed the Confederacy mining operations to begin, the citizens were not so easy to persuade. An uprising ensued, and the Kon'me began attacking the Confederacy forces with powerful weapons provided by war profiteers.[1]
The Confederacy responded, unleashing their
B1 battle droids upon the rebellious Kon'me. OG-9 homing spider droids scaled the planet's cliffs and destroyed many of the natives' weapon emplacements.[2] Despite their heavy losses, the Kon'me were able to hold their own against the mechanical intruders, and a fully-fledged battle erupted.[1]
When Halagad Ventor's Republic task force arrived in the skies of Bal'demnic, his
ARC-170 starfighters met immediate resistance in the form of Confederacy Droid tri-fighters.[2] When the air skirmish was over, Halagad and his troops landed with the intent to assist the natives.[1]
With all these foreign forces on their planet, the natives were further engraged to the point of total frenzy. In their final bid to drive the outlanders off their precious world, the Kon'me did not differentiate between Republic and Confederacy forces in their powerful counter-attack. With the Confederacy forces now under fire from two sides, and also being hindered by the planet's difficult terrain, they made a full retreat. Ventor and Koon, who had no desire to return fire on the hostile natives, also ordered a retreat of their forces.

Aftermath
Halagad Ventor left part of his task force behind in Bal'demnic's orbit, establishing a planetary defense blockade to prevent any further Confederacy intrusions.

Mission to Vjun

The mission
Since Yoda suspected a trap, yet he didn't want to throw away the opportunity of bringing back the Count to the fold of the Jedi and the Republic, he arranged with
Republic Intelligence for an actor famous for playing Yoda to make a public departure from Coruscant in a Delta-7 Aethersprite-class light interceptor.
Yoda was accompanied by the
Jedi Masters Jai Maruk and the Gran female Maks Leem, along with their respective Padawans, Scout and Whie Malreaux. Scout was an insubordinate girl with little Force-sensitivity and this was her first real mission while Whie had been the heir to the Château Malreaux on Vjun before the Jedi brought him to the Jedi Temple when he had been discovered to be Force-sensitive as a child. The planet had been in chaos in the past years as a result of generations of interbreeding to produce Force-sensitive traits in the population.
It turned out to be a trap after all since one of Dooku's
Dark Jedi operatives Asajj Ventress tracked down the Yoda decoy and captured him. Having realized that he was just a decoy, Asajj Ventress caught up with the real Yoda at Phindar Spaceport. During the confrontation, she slew both Jai Maruk and Maks Leem while her escort assassin droids went on a rampage in the concourse. Eventually, the two "orphaned" Padawans Scout and Whie caught up with Yoda as they continued their journey to Vjun.
At the
Château Malreaux on Vjun, the mission ended in stalemate. The Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker arrived at the palace while Scout and Whie along with his family droid Fidelis survived a duel with Ventress, Dooku failed to turn Yoda to the dark side or kill him. In the end, Dooku managed to escape Vjun while Yoda and the Padawans returned to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant.

Aftermath

Upon his return to Coruscant, Obi-Wan Kenobi was made a member of the Jedi Council for his heroism in the war to date. The seats of the Council, according to tradition, were reserved for Jedi Masters, so Kenobi was also promoted to that position. He used the opportunity to construct a new lightsaber.[1]
Anakin secretly met with his wife,
Padmé Amidala, before he was called to the High Council Chamber by his Master, Obi-Wan Kenobi. The Council had decided that he had earned the title of Jedi Knight. The Chosen One was Knighted at a small, private ceremony in the Jedi Council Chamber.[2] Yoda, however, told Anakin that his greatest test was still to come.

Second Battle of Xagobah

Prelude
After retreating from a
Republic offensive in the Core and Colonies, the Confederacy of Independent Systems began marshaling the majority of its fleet at its strongholds in the Outer Rim Territories in an attempt to draw in the Republic. Xagobah was one of these fortress worlds, serving as the retreat of Techno Union Foreman Wat Tambor and the location of his Mazariyan citadel.
Eager to eliminate Tambor, the Republic sent a force led by
Jedi Master Glynn-Beti to lay siege to Xagobah. Unbeknownst to the Republic, a high-ranking Senate official had placed bounties on the heads of leaders of the Separatists, and Wat Tambor had become the target of the young bounty hunter Boba Fett. The Republic positioned an Acclamator-class assault ship to coordinate the battle from high orbit, while Glynn-Beti and her Padawan Ulu Ulix led the ground assault and starfighter ace Anakin Skywalker provided air support.

The battle
After an initial assault, legions of
clone troopers, walkers, LAAT/is, and starfighters surrounded the fortress and bombarded it from dug-in positions, while a battle droid army marched from the nearby devastated city to break the siege. In an attempt to eliminate the Republic's air support, Wat Tambor programmed a drone ship to ram the assault ship in orbit. Anticipating such a move, Ulu Ulix took a swoop and raced toward the ramship, but he was shot down by enemy fire. Boba Fett intercepted the falling Ulu and saved the young Jedi's life, bringing him back to Glynn-Beti.
As Boba Fett drew closer to the citadel walls, Tambor's forces staged a counterattack, and thousands of battle droids and
droidekas streamed out of Mazariyan to meet the clone army. At this point, Anakin Skywalker led a squadron of Jedi interceptors in a strike against the fortress, managing to blow a large hole in the structure. A Hailfire droid fired a volley of missiles at Anakin's starfighter, but the experienced pilot was able to evade the missiles and cause them to impact the ramship, triggering its detonation. The energy pulse from the explosion temporarily scrambled the battle droids' circuits, allowing Boba Fett to infiltrate the Mazariyan citadel through the hole carved by Republic fire.
While the battle continued outside,
Boba Fett confronted and attempted to assassinate Wat Tambor, but the Techno Union Foreman was able to escape thanks to the help of General Grievous, who had arrived on Xagobah with Confederate reinforcements. Despite being only 12 years old, the young bounty hunter managed to put up a fight, and narrowly escaped with his life.
As Boba Fett left in Slave I he was attacked by Asajj Ventress. Slave I was severaly damaged, but repaired by Anakin Skywalker on a nearby asteroid.
The Siege of Xagobah dragged on for several months, but eventually the Confederacy was forced to surrender the world to the Republic.

Duel at the Titavian IV

happened when Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi received a Jedi distress call from the Titavian IV, an exploration ship from the Intergalactic Zoological Society.
Kenobi found
Quinlan Vos on the run from a group of Morp droids, which had been unleashed by Dark Jedi Asajj Ventress and Tol Skorr. The two Dark Acolytes had been sent by Count Dooku to hunt down Vos after he failed to obtain a Scientific Instrument Package containing Trihexalophine1138 from Aayla Secura. The assassination attempt was also part of Dooku's plan to place Vos back in the Order as a spy. Vos went along with it seeking to further gain Dooku's trust and learn the identity of his Master, the elusive "Second Sith"

Battle of Rendili

[edit] Prelude
When word came that
Rendili, the planet home to the Rendili StarDrive corporation and producer of the Dreadnaught-class heavy cruisers was possibly going to join the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Supreme Chancellor Palpatine and the Galactic Senate ordered a Jedi-led task force to Rendili. Their mission was either to convince the Rendili Home Defense Fleet to remain with the Galactic Republic or, if that failed, to destroy them lest they fell into the hands of Dooku. As the commander of the Rendili Fleet was Captain Jace Dallin, Jedi Master Plo Koon and Captain Jan Dodonna were sent as part of the fleet to negotiate with him, the three having fought together during the Stark Hyperspace War.
Arriving at Rendili, the Republic force discovered that an
Independent Provisional Government had already assumed power on Rendili, and joined with the Separatists. Koon and Dodonna headed over to the Rendili flagship, Mersel Kebir, to speak with Dallin anyways. Despite some initial reluctance, Dallin agreed to order the fleet to defect to the Republic. At that time, Lieutenant Mellor Yago with the help of other junior officers such as Gallan arrested Koon, Dodonna, Dallin, and the other senior officers of the Mersel Kebir for treason against Rendili. Yago used them as hostages preventing an immediate attack, hoping that Saesee Tiin, commanding the Republic fleet, would hold off firing for at least twenty hours—the time at which General Grievous had promised a Confederate Navy support group would arrive at Rendili.

Interlude on the Titavian
Just before the negotiating team crossed to the Mersel Kebir
Obi-Wan Kenobi, one of the Jedi assigned to the Republic fleet, was asked by the Exploration Corps to investigate a missing ship for the Mycroft Intergalactic Zoological Society. Going to the coordinates given, he found the crippled ship, Titavian IV, with an old Jedi signal coming from it. Expecting perhaps to find Zao or Jerec onboard, Kenobi instead found Quinlan Vos, a renegade Jedi who had fallen to the dark side and defected to Dooku.
Vos was being hunted by seeker droids released by two of Dooku’s minions,
Asajj Ventress and Tol Skorr, who were charged with punishing Vos for his failure following the Battle of Honoghr, where he had realized that he had indeed followed the wrong path. Stranded on the Titavian IV when the two Dark Jedi had placed his ship, the Skorp-Ion, out of reach, Vos had nearly been overwhelmed before Kenobi’s arrival. Retaking Vos’ ship, evading the Dark Jedi’s droids and a rancor released by them, and destroying their own ship, the two Jedi reversed the situation, escaping while leaving Ventress and Skorr stranded onboard the Titavian IV. Kenobi piloted their ship back to Rendili, despite the fact he anticipated trouble from Tiin over Vos.

The Battle

Meanwhile, Yago—expecting the arrival of the Confederate support group at any minute—had given Tiin an ultimatum: in one hour he would execute his hostages, starting with Koon. Onboard the Republic flagship, Sundiver, Tiin and Skywalker debated what to do. Deciding that there was no way to save the hostages, Tiin wished to destroy the Rendili Fleet ships, but Skywalker was convinced that in his starfighter, the Azure Angel II, he could set charges on the rear of the cruisers, leaving them stranded in space via a flaw in their original Mandalorian design. Tiin refused, as did Kenobi when he arrived shortly later with Vos. Tiin ordered Vos confined in a prison cell as Commander Adar Tallon, the Naval commander, reported that Confederate Lucrehulk-class Core Ships had emerged from hyperspace. Ordering the Sundiver to begin firing on the Mersel Kebir and the Triumph and Doneeta to fire on the Confederate ships, Tiin and the other Jedi headed to their starfighters to enter the battle.
Without permission, Anakin had the charges loaded onto his fighter and prepared to put his plan in motion. When the Sundiver was hit and suffered a power loss, Vos was able to leave his cell and get onboard a starfighter, entering the battle. Together with Kenobi, they infiltrated the Mersel Kebir as a means of destroying its Vulture droids from within, giving the distraction Skywalker needed to pull his plan through. Yago, in preparation for a hyperspace jump, had all the Rendili ships slave themselves to the Mersel Kebir; when sensors revealed this, Tiin ordered Tallon to ram the Sundiver into the Mersel Kebir, but this was made unnecessary when Skywalker succeeded in disabling the astrogation of the Mersel Kebir, leaving it and the other Rendili Fleet ships slaved to it stranded.
Onboard the Rendili flagship, Vos and Kenobi had managed to release the hostages. Dallin personally shot Yago, and retook command of the Rendili Fleet. Ordering that all other mutineers be summarily executed, he and Tiin ordered their combined fleets to concentrate fire on the Confederate ships, destroying them and ending the battle.

Aftermath

After the surrender of the fleet, the Independent Provisional Government was presumably quickly subdued as Rendili returned to the Republic by the end of the war.
Following the battle, the Rendili Fleet was taken to
Coruscant to be refitted and used in the war effort. Due to their strong design, Supreme Chancellor Palpatine planned to turn them into prison ships for use in transporting captured Dark Jedi loyal to Dooku. Presumably they became some of the Imperial dungeon ships used during the Great Jedi Purge, alongside the Lictor-class.
At Palpatine's urging, the Senate passed a resolution that mandated all defense fleets to be assimilated into the
Republic Navy, to prevent a similar situation from arising in the future. This influx of power into the central military while weakening local systems would form the basis of the Imperial Navy and the Imperial ability to "rule through threat of force rather than force itself".
Ventress and Skorr were rescued from the Titavian IV by General Grievous. Skorr was taken by Grievous to make an accounting of the fiasco to Dooku, while Ventress made her way to Coruscant to deal with Vos. When she saw Skywalker, she changed her tactics, and followed him. She witnessed one of
Senator Padmé Amidala's handmaidens bring him a hologram of his wife, and suddenly showing herself, threatened to kill the "Jedi toy" before finishing him. In a fit of anger, Skywalker fought Ventress, sustaining a parmanent scar to his face before wrapping her in electrical cables and throwing her off a tower into the Coruscant Underworld. She was presumed dead, but would later be found to be alive.
At a meeting before the
Jedi High Council, Vos was cleared of all suspicion and welcomed back into the Jedi Order. They failed to realize that his true allegiance still remained with Dooku, who had engineered the entire situation as a means to get a spy into the Jedi ranks.

Duel in the Coruscant Underlevels

Prelude
After the
Battle of Rendili, where the renegade Jedi Quinlan Vos turned himself in, he was taken to Coruscant for judgement before the Jedi Council. Anakin Skywalker, who had participated in the battle, delivered a testimony regarding Vos' actions during the battle. Having done this, Skywalker was excused.
Immediately afterwards, Skywalker journeyed to the
Senate Office Building to meet with his secret wife Padmé Amidala. He was instead greeted by one of her handmaidens who told him that Senator Amidala was tied up with Senate business, while giving him a holodisk from her. As Skywalker traveled to the Coruscant Underlevels to listen to the hologram, he was unaware that he was being tailed by Dark Jedi Asajj Ventress.
Ventress revealed herself, catching Skywalker on his speeder in a decrepit building, listening to the hologram. She took it from him with
the Force, and listened to it with disgust before destroying it. Ventress told Skywalker that she was on Coruscant hunting down Quinlan Vos and Obi-Wan Kenobi, before she decided to settle him. She then proceeded to threaten Senator Amidala's life; Skywalker, who thus became enraged, viciously attacked.

The duel

Fending off Skywalker's strikes, Ventress retreated further into the building, taunting him as she went. During the duel, Ventress managed to slash her opponent across the face, leaving him with a scar on his jaw. Pressing the attack, she again slashed Skywalker's face, leaving him with a vertical scar next to his eye. Taunting that she could have killed him with the last attack, she again had gone too far and Skywalker snapped completely. Unleashing a flurry of destructive blows, Skywalker drove Ventress to the edge of the building before blasting her off the edge and entangling her in electical wires. He then tortured her by holding her in the wires with the Force as she was electrocuted, before he finally dropped her. The wires snapped, unable to take Ventress' weight, and she became further entangled as she fell into a pit below. Skywalker stared at the pit for a few seconds, before turning his back on his defeated enemy, and leaving.

Aftermath
By submitting to his rage during that fight, Anakin Skywalker had pushed himself closer to the
dark side of the Force and his own eventual fall.
Despite her extreme injuries, Asajj Ventress survived and would return to fight another day.

Mission to Anzat

Jedi Master Quinlan Vos brought back information that Sora Bulq had made several trips to Anzat and the Jedi thought he was up to something out on there.
Master
Tholme thought that he had to take part in that mission. He worked alongside Jedi Knight Aayla Secura and her troops.
When they arrived at Anzat, Tholme would visit
Akku Seii, his former teacher, while Secura went to learn about Bulq's activities in the planet.
When Tholme found Seii, he asked him why Sora Bulq came so frequently to Anzat, but the
Anzati Code of Honor forbids telling the contracts or the kills. Suddenly, some Anzati assassins attacked Tholme. The Jedi Master tried not to kill anyone. When the fight was over, Tholme realized that all that assassins were students of Akku Seii, which was strange, because the tradition was always one teacher and one student. Seii told him that there were no teachers available.
Meanwhile, Aayla went to
Maggot's Cantina, searching for somebody that could help her. There, the Houk Gort said that he had seen Bulq and told Secura where she could find him. Aayla went to the specified place, where she found Sora Bulq's ship. She got inside and downloaded the ship's logs. While leaving, a Morgukai assassin attacked her but she defeated him. Then Bulq appeared with Rath Kelkko and other Confederacy people talking about their plans with the Anzati teachers and the Morgukai.
Later, Tholme and Secura met at their ship and analyzed the Bulq's ship's logs and they noticed that the
Dark Jedi often visited Saleucami, so they assumed that probably Sora Bulq had a base there. Then Tholme and Secura's paths split, with Aayla going to Trigalis, where she had been ordered, and Tholme to Saleucami.

Mission to Saleucami

occurred when Jedi Master Tholme arrived on Saleucami, and located Master Zao whom he attempted to convince to join him in his mission. However, Zao stated that he served the Force and not the Republic, whose principles diverged. Tholme asked Zao about Sora Bulq. Zao replied that he had sensed Bulq in the Magma Caverns. Zao then left. After confronting Zao, Tholme went to the Magma Caverns where he found the Cloning Complex of Morgukai assassins. He destroyed part of the installation.
Later, he overheard a conversation between Bulq and
Count Dooku, via holocomm. Also present were Rath Kelkko, Bok and a hologram of General Grievous. After listening to this conversation, Tholme made contact with Jedi Knight Aayla Secura and ordered Republic troops to come to Saleucami immediately. Two Morgukai clones attacked Tholme, but were quickly defeated. Sora Bulq then appeared and attacked his old friend. While fighting, Tholme realized that there was no need to defeat the Dark Jedi: he needed only to escape and destroy the cloning installation. After this he remained in hiding until the Siege of Saleucami.

Battle of Clak'dor VII

a battle during the Clone Wars that took place during the Outer Rim Sieges. The Galactic Republic targeted the world after spies reported seeing CIS ships leaving the planet

Battle of Boz Pity

Running the blockade

The Separatists had blockaded the graveyard planet Boz Pity with over one hundred warships. The Jedi plan was for the Star Destroyer Intervention to come out of hyperspace between the blockade and the planet. Anakin Skywalker, perhaps the most gifted pilot in the Order, attempted to accomplish this, but brought the ship out of hyperspace too close to the planet. The Intervention crashed on the surface of Boz Pity after launching all fighters and escape pods, damaged beyond repair.
In the space battle above,
Commander Denn Wessex commanded the Venator-class Star Destroyer Redoubt.

The battle

The forces of the Republic engaged the CIS on the planet's surface, led by Jedi Generals. They targeted the CIS medical facility. Masters Adi Gallia and Soon Bayts were in the first wave with their clones, and were both killed by General Grievous, though Alpha-17 was merely impaled and survived. Mace Windu then dropped an STAP on the General, disabling him.
Meanwhile,
Obi-Wan Kenobi infiltrated the CIS medical center. He discovered Asajj Ventress in a bacta tank and Count Dooku watching her. After a short conversation with Dooku, Asajj destroyed her bacta tank and engaged Obi-Wan. Their battle brought them back onto the battlefield, where Anakin joined in. Obi-Wan sabotaged Anakin's attempts to kill Asajj, though, believing she could still be redeemed. Dooku also left the medical center, but was attacked by Mace Windu. Dooku was outmaneuvered by Mace after a short duel, however his MagnaGuards grappled the Jedi, disarming him and dragging him into a pit while Dooku headed for the evacuation point, rescuing Grievous's body.
Asajj disengaged from Obi-Wan and Anakin, and headed for the CIS shuttles also. However, Dooku, not wishing her to delay his escape, ordered her shot, and left her behind as a distraction. Asajj attempted to kill Obi-Wan, but was thwarted by Anakin. She then expressed some measure of repentance and appeared to die. Obi-Wan had her body transported to Coruscant. The blockade apparently retreated or was dispersed.

Aftermath
Asajj Ventress had used
Sith meditation to feign her death. She woke up in the medical transport and ordered the pilots to take her away from the Jedi, the war, and Count Dooku.
Commander Wessex's actions during the Battle of Boz Pity made him a hero and convinced
Palpatine to make him a Moff shortly afterwards.
Following the battle,
Boz Pity was made into a staging area for Grand Army units fighting in the Outer Rim Sieges.
