Year 2

Battle of Bassadro

The
Confederacy of Independent Systems conquered Bassadro during the early stages of the Clone Wars, securing the planet's resources for use in construction of its army of battle droids. The Galactic Republic responded by sending Jedi General Empatojayos Brand and his clone troopers to retake the planet.
General Brand led his battalion to the dormant volcanic ranges that offered cover for the
Separatist forces commanded by Major Domb Treetor. Brand ordered concussion missile strikes against the rock formations, creating a storm of shrapnel that sliced through the mining village of Agao-Nir, wiping out almost every battle droid stationed there. Utterly defeated, Major Treetor surrendered, and Bassadro was retaken for the Republic.
News of Treetor's surrender was broadcast on Republic
HoloNet channels, though the Separatists were quick to ensure reporters knew their reason for the Major's surrender—supposedly, Domb Treetor surrendered to Brand only to save the citizens of Agao and other nearby settlements from further warfare.

Battle of Ando

a skirmish between the
Separatist government of Ando and the Republic members of the Andoan Free Colonies during the Clone Wars. As such, it was an Aqualish civil conflict. The Republic sent members of the Jedi Order to assist the Free Colonies, some or all of whom died. Probably CIS victory

Battle of Ord Canfre

Little is known except that
CIS forces took over the planet of Ord Canfre.

Battle of Balamak

A CIS flotilla appeared over
Balamak, an important food-producing world that hosted a key HoloNet node, and established a blockade. One of the vessels was a Lucrehulk-class Droid Control Ship with a modified transmission array to broadcast jamming signals capable of disrupting all transmission networks in the entire sector.

The battle
The jamming continued for four standard days until a
Galactic Republic task force, led by Jedi Generals Obi-Wan Kenobi and Nanda-Ree Janoo, engaged the flotilla with a massed starfighter attack. Starfighter tactician Adar Tallon planned the attack, during which Anakin Skywalker delivered the final missile volley that destroyed the jamming craft. The remaining Separatist forces were routed.

Battle of
Parein II 4

The battle saw the debut of
General Grievous's wheel bike. Leading his forces into battle, the droid general smashed the Republic opposition.
At one point during the conflict,
Jedi General Sannen tried to confront Grievous, but was almost immediately killed when an IG-100 MagnaGuard thrust an electrostaff through his throat.
Valin Draco fought as a military commander in this battle, but was injured and left for dead. He was later hunted by a nighthunter and after a vicious fight, managed to subdue the beast and befriend it.

Aftermath
Draco would be believed missing until after the Clone Wars ended, where he emerged as an
Inquisitor for the new Galactic Empire.

Coruscant Insurrection

Count Dooku and one of his Dark Acolytes, Trenox, infiltrated Coruscant with an army of Separatist battle droids in a mission to destroy the Jedi Archives in the Jedi Temple.
The invasion began during
Anakin Skywalker's investigation on C-B3 cortosis battle droids on the planet Tatooine. Anakin was alerted to the conflict by Obi-Wan Kenobi, and he promptly flew back to Coruscant to assist the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order against the sudden attack. He aided the Republic forces in defending the High City of Coruscant. Many ASN-121 assassin droids were utilized as battle droids during the invasion, terrorizing the civilians on the platforms and walkways while groups of super battle droids attacked the interior of the upper level buildings. During the battle, Anakin met one of Count Dooku's Dark Acolytes, Trenox, and pursued him to the Coruscant Underlevels. They met at the Outlander Club where Trenox knocked Anakin back before escaping to the Jedi Temple. While in the Underlevels, Anakin met the Chiss bounty hunter Vandalor for the very first time. When asked for the whereabouts of Trenox, Vandalor informed him that he was probably busy attacking the Jedi Archives before walking away.
With this information in mind, Anakin headed back to the Jedi Temple to find that the Separatist had indeed infiltrated the Temple. He proceeded to the Jedi Archives and confronted and killed Trenox, but was delayed long enough for Dooku to steal at least one
Holocron and escape.
General Obi-Wan Kenobi was wounded during the battle. Some of the Jedi, notably Barriss Offee, had trouble fighting the lightsaber-resistant cortosis battle droids that were deployed during the battle. Anakin learned that these cortosis droids could be easily sliced in half by slashing down upon the gap between the droids' breastplates. A trooper called Rom Mohc fought the droids in personal combat and was later touted as a hero all over the HoloNet. Later, this would inspire Mohc to lead the Dark trooper project.
This battle, coupled with the
Sarapin blackout, meant Coruscant's citizens no longer felt safe from the war's ravages.

Battle of Metalorn

a battle fought during the
Clone Wars. The Confederacy of Independent Systems attempted to re-take Metalorn, but the droid forces were repulsed by elements of the Grand Army of the Republic led by A'Sharad Hett and his Padawan, Bhat Jul over a week after the culmination of the Second Battle of Jabiim.

Battle of Raquish

Conflict began on Ando after the Republic forced demilitarization on the native
Aqualish, leading to a dispute between the natives of Ando and the Andoan Free Colonies. During the course of the battle, thousands upon thousands of Aqualish lost their lives, though the conflict was eventually ended peacefully. Both sides agreed to sign the Treaty of Raquish, forbidding either force to launch any attack against the civilian population of the opposing side.
The Battle of Raquish was not the only conflict caused by demilitarization forced on the peoples of Ando by the Republic. Another notable conflaguration was the
Horos Spine Incident, and, prior to the Clone Wars, Ando seceded from the Republic after its natives grew tired of the dispute over the Military Creation Act.
The
Raquish Thoroughfare in Quantill City on Ando may have been named after this battle.

Battle of Cartao

was fought in
21 BBY during the Clone Wars over the use of a secondary cloning facility owned by Spaarti Creations. It was a victory for the Galactic Republic, one which was engineered by Darth Sidious' agent Kinman Doriana.

The battle
During the battle,
Jedi General Fyefee Tiis used his ship, the Whipsaw, to disable the Separatist Droid Control Ship orbiting Cartao, thus giving the Republic's ground forces advance time before the Separatist droid army could be activated. Doriana managed to ram remotely controlled Republic assault transport into the Spaarti facility, destroying the majority of it—and pinning the civilian loss of life on the Jedi Order. The planet Cartao was left ravaged by the battle.

Mission to Ord Cestus

The mission was led by
Generals Obi-Wan Kenobi and Kit Fisto, and supported by an ARC trooper captain A-98 "Nate", and four clone troopers: Sirty, Xutoo, Forry, and Seefor. The JK-13s were a specialized Force-sensitive non-sentient security droid that was extremely hard to defeat, even for a Jedi Knight, and so Supreme Chancellor Palpatine dispatched Kenobi, Fisto, and their strike team, along with the mollusk-like barrister Doolb Snoil, to stop the production of the droids. The strike team's first plan was to use diplomacy to convince the leader of Ord Cestus, G'Mai Duris, to sign a contract with the Republic instead of the CIS. While Kenobi and Snoil handled the negotiations, Fisto and his strike team started training recruits to overthrow the government if need be. During this time, the strike team made contact with the Desert Wind terrorist group, a cell of men and women who were fighting for freedom from the Five Families, a tyrannical group of families controlling the economy and government of Ord Cestus.

Beginning
After a long time deliberating, Kenobi decided they needed a way to pressure the Five Families into signing a contract with the Republic. Unbeknownst to Kenobi or Fisto,
Separatist commander and Dark Jedi Asajj Ventress had arrived on Cestus shortly after Kenobi, and was there to make sure that the Five Families did not sign a contract with the Republic.
Kenobi contacted Fisto secretly and developed a cunning ruse to pressure the Five Families. Using a
light-whip and posing as one of Dooku's dark Jedi, Fisto, A-98, and several Desert Wind guerillas, "kidnapped" four members of the Five Families en route to a conference with Kenobi. Kenobi "figured out" the precise location of the kidnapped members and "rescued" them, staging a mock battle with Nemonus (i.e. Kit Fisto) and several other Desert Wind soldiers and "rescued" the members of the Five Families. Grateful, the Five Families decided to sign a contract with the Republic.
Just before the signing of a contract, however, one of the members of the Families delivered a holovid of Kenobi's "battle" with A-98, taken via a hidden holocam by Asajj Ventress. This proof shattered the negotiations, and Kenobi and Snoil were forced to leave the planet on board their transport. However, Kenobi used an
escape pod to transport himself to a rendezvous point with Kit Fisto and Desert Wind. The Five Families attempted to destroy Kenobi's transport using Hunter-Killers, unaware that Kenobi was already planetside. They did however manage to destroy the ship, killing the pilot, Xutoo. Snoil escaped in an escape pod back to the surface as well, and was later picked up by Desert Wind.
Desert Wind began to pressure the
Cestian government by carrying out insurgent strikes on Cestus Cybernetics facilities, attempting to avoid fatalities for both sides while crippling the Cestian economy and forcing G'Mai Duris to sign a contract with the Republic. Their efforts seemed to be working until a group of JK-13 and infiltrator droids invaded Desert Wind's hideout, capturing and killing several members of Desert Wind. It turned out that Asajj Ventress had used the Force to pinpoint Kenobi's location for the Five Families, allowing them to launch a strike. During the fighting Captain Nate was injured and Sheeka Tull, one of the Jedi's contacts on Cestus, escaped with him and brought him to some Cestian healers.

Asajj's plot

Desert Wind, despite this setback, set up for a final strike against Cestus Cybernetics. With a Republic
Acclamator-class assault ship on-station, Kenobi and Fisto planted homing beacons in Cestus Cybernetics' main factory center so that the Acclamator could bombard the factory and cease the production of battle droids. The planned seemed to be working, but Kenobi and Fisto had some unfinished business to attend to before executing their plan. Before they left, Nate returned, totally recuperated from his injuries sustained in action. Kenobi and Fisto ordered the clone troopers not to leave their posts no matter what until the bombardment was finished or the two generals returned. After the troopers acknowledged this order, the two Jedi left to meet one of their contacts: a X'Ting gangster known as Trillot, who would be supplying them with equipment. The whole meeting turned out to be a trap laid by the assassin, Ventress, so that she could finally kill the two Jedi. Before forcing the Jedi to fight unarmed against a horde of young X'Ting warriors, knowing the Jedi would not draw their weapons to slaughter unarmed beings while she observed and studied their fighting style, Ventress revealed that the whole purpose of the Confederacy purchasing the JK-13s was to draw the Republic's attention to Cestus. She revealed that she had moved the homing beacons that were to designate the targets for the assault ship so that the bombardment would kill millions of innocent civilians and thereby cause other systems to secede from the Republic. Kit Fisto finally fought his way to her and a brilliant duel followed, with Kit and Asajj evenly matched until Ventress landed a grazing hit on Fisto, knocking him into an underground river. By this time Kenobi had threatened to kill any X'Ting that got in his way, and so Ventress, deciding to show some mercy against the X'Ting, and so a duel ensued between Kenobi and Asajj. During the duel Fisto managed to knock Kenobi and Ventress into the river. Obi-Wan continued fighting with Ventress attempting to drown the dark Jedi, but she escaped.
Meanwhile, Nate (now calling himself Jangotat) had located, with the help of a X'Ting named
Resta, the Five Families' private resort/bunker, where the Five Families had retreated when they heard about the Republic Assault Ship in orbit. With the help of Resta and the Desert Wind ex-leader, Jangotat made his way into the bunker. He then knocked out Resta so that she would survive to live her life and made his way inside. Inside he found the bunker protected by a JK-13 and a battle ensued, which ended with the Desert Wind leader blowing himself up with a mine to try and destroy the JK-13. Despite his sacrifice the JK-13 survived, but the droid went insane, smashing itself into the rock wall continuously. At first Jangotat was stumped, but then he figured it out. The dashta eels, the Force-sensitive creatures which were housed inside the JK-13s, were peaceful, and so when the terrorist leader died in its arms, the eel inside the JK went insane. The Five Families had been tricked the Confederacy in an attempt to get richer and then escape the planet. Despite this information, Jangotat knew that the Five Families must be destroyed, and so he called in an orbital strike right on top of his position, killing himself as well as the Five Families and saving millions of lives. However, before his death, Jangotat recorded a last message, telling the Jedi about his discovery of the Cestus' deception, as well as telling his lover, Sheeka Tull, that he would have returned to the GAR despite her love, because it was his duty.

Aftermath
Following this, the Cestian government signed the contract with the Republic and the mission was a success. Before leaving the system, the strike team, Kenobi, Fisto, and Sheeka Tull, who had become romantically attached to Jangotat and was now carrying his child, said their goodbyes to Jangotat. Following this the strike team and the two Jedi returned to Coruscant, their mission complete.

Battle of Dreighton

During the time of the Clone Wars, a lack of
stygium crystals, (a material that, when properly energized could render a starship invisible to almost all scans), plagued the galaxy at an inopportune juncture. All sources of the crystal seemed to have been drained.

The battle
In hopes of gaining control of the Galaxy's only supply of stygium crystals, the Separatist high command dispatched forces to the
Dreighton Nebula, specifically the planet of Aeten II, where stygium mines were years earlier declared dried. Yet now the mines had re-opened, and both sides rushed to claim them. The Republic fleet was aided by the independent army known as the Pendarran Warriors.
When both ambitious forces came head to head, Hutt and Black Sun forces entered the system and destroyed the remainders of all three fleets in a month-long battle.
It is known that the nebula itself eventually annihilated all combatants.

Aftermath
Whatever occurred there, it would soon be declared that there were no more stygium caches on Aeten II. The aftermath of the battle also had many rumors about the nebula being haunted afterwards with ghost ships and the dead pilots of the battle, giving birth to the idea of the
Dreighton Triangle. This was ratified by strange disappearances of ships flying in the nebula.
During the days of the Empire, this legend was useful during the development of the infamous
TIE Phantoms, which had cloaking devices that caused them to be invisible. The early test appearances of these ships against Rebel fighters were believed to be a confirmation of those legends.

Mission to Fest

an "asset-denying" operation carried out by Omega Squad on the planet Fest to disable a Separatist factory developing a supermetal called phrik. Omega Squad completed their objective and destroyed the facility.

Skirmish at Dinlo

Sarlacc A and B Battalions, under the command of Jedi General Vaas Ga and Clone Commander Gree, were caught behind enemy lines on Dinlo and needed evacuation. RAS Fearless with General Etain Tur-Mukan arrived bringing Improcco Company to extract them.
There were numerous casualties on both sides. All Separatist losses were
battle droids and super battle droids. Improcco Company suffered mild losses: 4 Killed In Action, and fifteen wounded. Sarlacc A and B battalions suffered worse: 94 Killed In Action and 215 wounded.

Mission to the Chaykin Cluster

The commandos of Delta Squad were assigned to investigate and recover the Acclamator I-class assault ship Prosecutor which had been recently discovered intact in the Chaykin cluster. The commandos entered the ship at four different locations, each making their way for one of the ship's four data cores. Shortly after their arrival, the commandos lost contact with their Advisor, but continued onward with their mission, with Scorch heading for the Port Data Core, Sev for the Starboard Data Core, Fixer making his way for the sensor locks, and Boss heading to the Aft Data Core. Within moments, the commandos began to experience static with their systems. The team soon lost contact with Scorch after he was attacked and incapacitated by a scavenger droid. Shortly thereafter, Boss encountered one of the ship's troopers and watched helplessly as the trooper was attacked and killed by a scavenger droid. In minutes, he himself was under attack from the droids, the first evidence of intruders aboard the ship.
It was soon clear to Boss, however, that there were more than scavenger droids onboard, as he witnessed several troopers killed by unknown assailants. Sev and Boss rendezvoused at the Starboard Data Core, but before Boss could reach him, Sev was attacked and incapacitated by a
Trandoshan slaver. The Trandoshan was one of a large group that had boarded to hijack the ship.

Critical point
Boss and Fixer, now the only two Deltas not incapacitated, made their separate ways to Delta Squad's original rendezvous point.
Boss retrieved sensor logs from the Starboard and Aft Data Cores, battling Trandoshan slavers, Elites, and the ship's own automated defense turrets which had been sliced by the Trandoshans. Fixer and Boss reunited at the rendezvous point and proceeded together to locate and rescue Sev from the Trandoshans. After recovering Sev, the commandos made their way to the detention block to rescue Scorch. Finally a full unit again, Delta Squad headed for the bridge, fighting its way through Trandoshan, droid, and auto turret resistance along the way. Once at the bridge, the Deltas destroyed a jamming device placed there by the Trandoshans, allowing them to once again establish contact with their Advisor.
After scanning the vessel, the Advisor discovered a
Trandoshan dropship in Hangar A. Realizing that the Trandoshans were planning to sell the ship to the Confederacy of Independent Systems in order to buy battle droids, he ordered the Deltas to destroy the dropship and end the Trandoshan threat. The Deltas fought their way back to the elevator and made for the hangar. On the way there, the elevator, which had been booby trapped by the Trandoshans, took them to an ambush in the detention area. Delta Squad fought its way through the ambush and eventually managed to repair the cell block's damaged systems, causing it to go into lockdown and flood the area with poison gas, suffocating the Trandoshans on the level. The Deltas then moved on to Hangar A, using the Trandoshan's own rocket turrets to destroy their ship.

End
Within moments of the Trandoshan ship's destruction, a CIS
Droid Control Ship arrived to claim the Prosecutor. Realizing that they would need help, the Advisor sent a distress signal, getting a response from the Republic starship Arrestor. As the Arrestor was en route, the commandos were tasked with sealing the Prosecutor 's three remaining hangars and stopping the CIS boarders. Delta managed to seal off all three, repelling the boarding parties. The final hangar was heavily defended by droid forces and Delta squad made use of a AT-TE walker to destroy the last of the resistance within the hangar. In response, the CIS ship opened fire on the Prosecutor, planning to destroy it before reinforcements could arrive. Hoping to buy more time, Delta Squad fought its way to one of the Prosecutor 's turbolaser turrets. As they worked to make it operational, the Arrestor arrived, engaging the CIS vessel. The squad's position was under assault by droid forces while the three command consoles were being sliced to open fire on the CIS ship. In moments, the commandos were able to activate the turrets, adding their fire to the Arrestor's and easily destroying the CIS vessel. With the CIS ship destroyed the droids powered down and the Arrestor was able to aid in recovering the Prosecutor thus winning the conflict.

Mission to the Corellian-Perlemian Hyperspace Intersection

The target, a Gizer L-6 freighter was one of three vessels in a civilian convoy. Unbeknownst to Omega Squad, it was accompanied by another Gizer L-6 (a civilian starship) being used as a decoy. Omega Squad, aboard TIV Z590/1 lay in wait for the Gizer L-6. When the first vessel arrived the TIV moved to interdict and board but aborted the operation when it was realized that the vessel was in fact a decoy civilian Gizer L-6. The target vessel arrived second and the TIV attached to the hull after a brief exchange of fire. Omega Squad breached the hull and boarded the freighter.
Once aboard, the commandos secured the cabin and captured two prisoners. However, the TIV was then attacked by the civilian freighter,
Nova Crystal, which had mistakenly identified it as a pirate craft. The TIV was destroyed with the loss of it's clone trooper pilot, CT-1127/549 Sicko. The loss of the TIV caused the decompression of the L-6's hold also resulting in the loss of the two captured prisoners. The remaining three crew had besieged themselves in the ships cockpit.
This left Omega Squad in a predicament whereby they were unequipped to survive for long in hard vacuum in their Mark III
Katarn Armor. However, they were able to take the cockpit of the freighter and capture the remaining crew in the process without causing further hull breaches. The prisoners were two Nikto: M'truli and Gysk, and one Human: Farr Orjul. Due to damage to the freighters environment systems, the commandos had to be evacuated quickly, resulting in a Red Zero distress call for an immediate emergency extraction.
Both the RAS
Fearless and Delta Squad responded to the Red Zero call and came to evacuate Omega Squad. Delta Squad was the first to arrive and dock with the crippled craft, evacuating Omega Squad while the RAS Fearless destroyed an attacking Neimoidian starship that had also responded.
Due to the secrecy of the mission, the true nature of the TIVs activity was not released and the skipper of the Nova Crystal was regarded as a hero for his actions by the
Perlemian Traffic Control. The wreckage of TIV Z590/1 and remains of CT-1127/549 were retrieved by the RAS Majestic later the same day.

Mission to Coruscant

The strike team, led by Skirata, worked under deep cover and outside of the usual military chain of command. In conjunction with the Coruscant Security Force, led by captain Jaller Obrim, they set about unraveling the network of terrorist connections. In order to allow the team to operate without drawing attention, Skirata contrived to arrange an extended period of leave on Coruscant for the clone troopers of the 41st Elite Legion. This enabled the otherwise obvious commandos to hide in plain sight and blend in with the ordinary troopers, as well as giving the battle-hardened troops from the 41st a much-needed break.
The team lay up at
Qibbu's Hut, an establishment run by Qibbu the Hutt, who owed Skirata some credits for a job. Qibbu allowed the team to stay for free in exchange for canceling his debt to Skirata.

The mission
The team occupied the top suite of Qibbu’s Hut as their Operations House. Skirata deployed two-man teams to watch and scan the skylanes for bogies. One team, made up of
Fi, Sev, and Bardan Jusik, spotted a GAR logistics employee, Vinna Jiss, who was secretly working with a Falleen Separatist terrorist, delivering him explosives to bomb Republic targets. The team apprehended her and Jiss was interrogated by Walon Vau, who later killed her once she had given them all the information they needed. Ordo figured out that they had a mole in GAR logistics and switched places with Trooper Corr (clone trooper also working in the logistics department due to the loss of both his hands in active duty).
Meanwhile, Kal Skirata had set up a fake gunrunning business at Qibbu's Hut, hoping that the terrorists would attempt to pick up more explosives, since their main supplier had been routed out by a TIOPS mission executed by Omega Squad. Terrorists took the bait and using
Verpine sniper rifles and a special micro-sensor tagging material nicknamed "Dust", the team managed to tag the terrorist leader, Perrive plus five others from his network.
In the meantime as Ordo was impersonating Corr, he spotted the already-dead Vinna Jiss returning to work. Next day, with the help of
Jedi Knight Tur-Mukan they attempted to apprehend her for later questioning. During attempt Ordo shot "resurrected" Jiss and also incapacitated Besany Wennen (one of the Supervisors at GAR logistics). Both suspects survived shooting. Once they got back to their de facto base, they discovered that Wennen had been assigned to tail Jiss, who was not a reliable employee. The "resurrected" Jiss turned out to be former ally Jinart, a shape-shifting Gurlanin who had assisted Omega Squad during a mission to Qiilura. Jinart demanded that the Republic forces withdraw from her planet and in exchange she would provide information on the moles in the GAR. With this new information, plus the location of the terrorists' hideout (thanks to Dust), Skirata decided that it was time to bust-up the Separatists' operation. Skirata set up a date with Perrive to deliver the much-needed ordnance to the terrorists. Following delivery of the explosives the strike team would move in to shut down their terrorists operations.
All was going well. From two moles Ordo and Mereel eliminated one in the GAR (other had "unfortunate" accident) and the team was all set and ready to go. But the mission was forced to be executed earlier then expected when CSF personnel arrested one of Perrive's men, causing the terrorists to panic. Perrive requested that Skirata make his delivery 24 hours early, which the
Mandalorian mercenary agreed to. Before ending his conversation with Skirata, Perrive informed him that he would not be present for the delivery. After the conversation (via comlink) ended, Skirata informed the team that their mission was a go.
While Skirata, Ordo, Mereel, and the two commando squads got into position, Etain and Walon Vau, along with Vau's pet
Strill Lord Mirdalan, were sent to assassinate Perrive. Using one of Skirata's Verpine sniper rifles, Vau quickly and silently disposed of the Jabiimi terrorist.
Meanwhile, Skirata had made his delivery without incident and the commandos had attacked, disabling the lights with two
PLX-1 missile launchers. The team killed fifteen out of twenty-six of the terrorists almost immediately, while the survivors retreated to a warehouse. During the insuing firefight one of terrorists escaped back to his apartment. The surviving Separatists made a last, final gambit and attempted to trick the commandos into thinking that they were surrendering. One of the commandos, Darman, was nearly killed in their attempt by a flame projector, but his armor managed to protect him against the blast. During the firefight all of the terrorists were killed.
Meanwhile Vau and Etain had dealt with the last terrorist who had escaped back to his apartment, and the CSF began rounding up around 90 suspected terrorists. The commandos, all relatively unharmed, retreated back to their "base", where they celebrated. The Separatist terrorist net would never recover from the blow that the commandos gave them.

Battle of Jabiim

Republic agents on Jabiim informed the Galactic Senate that the Jabiim Congress had been undermined by Separatist influences. In fact, Alto Stratus, the leader of the Jabiimi Nationalists, had orchestrated a coup, killing most of the pro-Republic members of Congress. Stratus felt that the Republic had failed to aid the Jabiimi during several local conflicts and only exploited the planet's mineral wealth for use in its war against the Confederacy of Independent Systems[2]. Although he spoke eloquently against the oppression of the Republic, many believed these words had been purchased with weapons, supplies, and credits by the Confederacy, which gave his faction strong military support[3]. After this act of treason, civil war broke out between Stratus' Nationalist faction and the remaining Jabiimi Loyalists, led by Captain Orliss Gillmunn
Negotiations spearheaded by the
Alderaanian Diplomatic Corps were rebuffed as Jabiim geared towards war. Rather than lose Jabiim and its valuable mines, the Republic decided to retake the world by force. The Republic positioned their strike force on nearby Handooine.

The Battle
The Republic forces established a stronghold at
Shelter Base, and proceeded to launch attacks on Separatist defensive positions. Aided by Captain Gillmunn's native Loyalist forces, the task force overran a dozen enemy defensive positions[2], but this was actually part of a Separatist strategy to divide the Republic forces. Stratus kept his battle droids and his elite Nimbus commandos in reserve for a strike on the now-vulnerable Shelter Base. He attacked on day 21 after the Republic landing, inflicting heavy casualties, including two Jedi generals and most of the Padawans present. Obi-Wan Kenobi was thought to have perished. However, it was later revealed that he had survived; he and the ARC trooper Alpha-17 had been captured by the Dark Jedi Asajj Ventress and transported to Rattatak[4].
The Republic was ill-prepared for the atrocious conditions on Jabiim, whereas the Jabiimi rebels had lived there all their lives. The task force's heavy walkers became mired in the muddy, rain-soaked plains, where they were vulnerable to the agile
Nimbus commandos, while the constant storms and heavy raining severely impeded their much-needed orbital and air support[2]. Even Republic radio communications and sensors were scrambled by the turbulent atmospheric conditions. Thus the rebels could time and again defeat the Republic despite its superior numbers and firepower. Over the course of the next week, Stratus's forces made significant gains in the northern hemisphere, defeating General Norcuna and wiping out his forces at Choal. By day 30 after the first landing, 18 Jedi and over 5,000 clone troopers had been killed in action[5]. General Leska, now the highest-ranking Jedi on the planet, ordered an immediate strike at the Razor Coast in an attempt to capture Stratus. The Republic defeated the Separatist forces there, but suffered heavy casualties, and Stratus was nowhere to be found.
Stratus had actually escaped and personally led an attack by the elite Nimbus soldiers on a supply convoy led by
First Lieutenant Anakin Skywalker, which was carrying much-needed reinforcements and material to the Republic base at Cobalt Station. The convoy was led into a minefield, which neutralized most of its armored support. The Jedi were unprepared for this sort of ambush, as it was the first time the Confederacy used mines in combat[5], a disturbing development, and suffered heavy losses. The Republic force was eventually able to break through thanks to the Jedi, who used the Force to detonate some of the mines, distracting the Jabiimi and clearing a path out. Stratus himself was injured in the battle, but only lightly, and vowed revenge. He now gathered his forces for a final, decisive attack on Cobalt Station, the Republic's last major defensive installation on the planet. On day 37, Leska was killed in action and her task force defeated, and Anakin Skywalker assumed command. Much of the Republic forces were in disarray and left leaderless, however, and a full-scale evacuation was planned. Meanwhile, the Jabiimi Separatists, now reinforced by strong Droid Army contingents, were advancing on the departure point at Monsoon Mesa, just south of Cobalt Station. A battle group was formed from a small group of Padawans and the remaining clone troopers to defend the station in an attempt to delay the Separatist advance. They held out for five days against an army of more than 10,000[3]. Stratus was killed in the last hours of the battle by Aubrie Wyn, a young Padawan, and half of his forces destroyed[3], although Republic casualties were also heavy. Every Jedi present died, except for Anakin Skywalker, who—on Chancellor Palpatine's orders—had departed to lead the evacuation. However, the battle group had succeeded in delaying the Separatists long enough for the main Republic force to be evacuated off the planet, and Stratus' death made any organized pursuit impossible. On day 43, the Republic evacuation ships arrived. However, there were not enough ships for both the clones and the remaining pro-Republic loyalist forces, who were desperate to escape the revenge of the now successful Separatists. Skywalker chose the clones; the Loyalists were abandoned to their fate with the words, "This is your war now."[4] The Jabiimi, who had placed their trust in the Republic, rightly felt betrayed and tried to force their way onto the ships, but were repulsed by Skywalker, who held them back with the Force Choke Force technique. Left behind watching their one hope of survival deserting them, they threw mud and curses at the retreating Republic forces.

Aftermath

The planet was lost to the Confederacy, so although both sides suffered severe casualties, the battle was considered a grievous defeat for the Republic. It was in the panic following the battle that the 501st Legion was deployed to Coruscant. It also left a legacy of enduring hatred among the Jabiimi people of the Republic that had betrayed them in their hour of need, the Jedi, and most of all the name of the betrayer Skywalker.

Battle of Cerea

a month-long battle that took place on the Galactic Republic world of Cerea. The paradise world was ravaged by Commerce Guild forces until defeated by the Republic. The battle ended when Bo-Ro-Tara was assassinated by Gossam Commandos. It was also during the battle that the Cerean Jedi Master Ki-Adi-Mundi lost his family.

Battle of Skorr II

a military engagement during the Clone Wars and took place in 21 BBY. Skor II, the Squib homeworld, was seized by the Confederacy of Independent Systems, who planned to use it as a launch point. The Galactic Republic dispatched Mace Windu to re-capture the world. Commander Cody also served on the mission.
The battle was a resounding Republic victory. Afterward, the Squibs erected a
bronzium statue of Mace Windu and King Ebareebaveebeedee, the Squib leader. The king said that Mace was a "Big Time Hero of beyond-Squib Eliteness" and that "His Mace Windship will forever haunt Squibbish poems and jingles, and future fuzzlings will hear of the valiant Knight with his koovy purplish blade."
The Squib
Macemillian-winduarté may have been named for the Squib hero. He often went by the nickname "Mace Windu", most likely in honor of the Jedi Master.

First Battle of Xagobah

Not much is known except that the Confederacy of Independent Systems took control of this jungle planet.

Battle of Aargonar

Just like the Battle of Jabiim, the battle fared poorly for Republic forces, with Jedi Knight Jul killed in action, alongside many clone troopers. Jedi General Mundi, temporarily charged with Mastery of Anakin Skywalker following the supposed death of Obi-Wan Kenobi on Jabiim, gave the order to retreat from his gunship in the skies. Bultar Swan, telling Mundi that the sandstorm was ion-charged and that this battle could be worse than Jabiim, immediately attempted to destroy the Republic's camp, to prevent their supplies from falling into Separatist hands, not knowing that Anakin and A'Sharad were still out in the deserts of Aargonar. Hiding in a cave, Anakin accidentally attacked Hett as a Tusken Raider due to a berserk rage he was undergoing, nearly killing him. Burdened, Anakin revealed the truth of his slaughter of Tusken's on Tatooine prior to the Battle of Geonosis to Hett. Hett agreed that it was a dragon Anakin would have to fight on his own—and kept his secret.
The two Jedi managed to find a disabled
Gunship Bomber Enhanced and used it to lure a native Gouka dragon into the Separatist army, giving the Republic time to retreat and rescue the two young Jedi. The Republic managed a successful retreat, and the surviving Jedi returned to New Holstice.

Battle of Parcellus Minor

Almost from the start the battle proved to be a growing series of disasters for the Republic. The first indication of trouble became evident when, due to the planet's conditions, the GAR could not land any of its heavy equipment. The second piece of bad news came when it was discovered that Republic Intelligence had underestimated the Separatist forces at Parcellus Minor by at least a factor of ten. On top of it all a Separatist reinforcement fleet arrived soon after the battle began, trapping the Republic army and its orbiting support fleet.
Despite incurring heavy casualties, the Republic force managed to fight off the Separatists for a protracted time. Finally the Separatist commander chose to order the execution of
BDZ against the planet; using his ships' turbolasers, he ignited the flammable tzeotine resin created by all of that world's plant life. The remaining Republic and Separatist ground forces were nearly eliminated in the ensuing conflagration; in the haste to evacuate, General Darté was forced to order his forces to leave all wounded troopers behind. In the end over 90% of the clone troopers involved in the battle died, and it was later described as being close to a second Battle of Jabiim.

Escape from Rattatak

the escape of Obi-Wan Kenobi and the ARC clone trooper Alpha-17 from Asajj Ventress's citadel of Rattatak. Ventress tormented Obi-Wan with muscle maggots and a Sith torture mask. She did this to prove him unworthy of being a potential apprentice to Dooku.
Obi-Wan and Alpha escaped from their cells and killed Asajj's guards and tried to escape on the landing pad. Asajj intercepted them, but couldn't prevent them from escaping. They were pursued by
Separatist fighters, but were destroyed by bounty hunters trying to get Jedi bounties. Anakin Skywalker and Ki-Adi-Mundi rescued them and returned them to Coruscant.

Battle of Thustra

Ten hours after Galactic Republic forces landed on Thustra, the native Sephi attacked them. The Republic army had been told to avoid engaging the Sephi, but they attacked first, despite being outnumbered by the Republic force. Master Tyffix and Master Tyr were killed when the Sephi blew up the command center. Jedi Padawans Cal and Pix called Coruscant for reinforcements, and were surprised when Yoda arrived.
Yoda and Cal went to negotiate with
King Alaric, but Yoda was forced to kill him, and Cal was killed in the process when the Republic army was given falsified targeting information by Navi.
It was a victory for the Republic, but it stirred the people of Thustra and neighboring systems into action, driving them further into the
Separatist camp.

Battle of Merson

during the Clone Wars consisted of Galactic Republic forces, led by Jedi Master Ronhar Kim, his Padawan Tap-Nar-Pal and Captain Gilad Pellaeon, being sent into battle on the planet Merson. Republic Intelligence underestimated the forces on the planet by a factor of five, and were crushed. Pellaeon withdrew upon the arrival of additional CIS forces and Master Ronhar Kim, his Padawan and their army perished on the planet below. Kim's Padawan attempted a strafing run to assist his master, only to be shot down by Super Battle Droids.
The
Separatists were expecting the attack due to information given by Darth Sidious to Count Dooku, warning that the Republic would be arriving shortly.

Battle of Null

While attempting to heal wounded clone troopers and Jedi, T'ra Saa and Barriss Offee were caught in an unexpected attack by bounty hunters working for the Crimson Nova chapter of the Bounty Hunters Guild. The hunters, riding speeder bikes, opened fire on the Jedi, killing some and setting fire to the surrounding forest. During the fight, T'ra Saa's lightsaber was knocked from her hand and collected by one of the hunters, who ultimately fled the encroaching fires. Left with no alternative against the blaze, Saa used the Force to pull trees down over the survivors, effectively trapping them away from the flames.
A rainstorm soon doused the fires, and
Mace Windu arrived on the scene to rescue the survivors. He uncovered Offee, the clones and an unconscious Saa, who had been wounded during her valiant attempt to save the group. Windu raced her to a waiting gunship along with Offee, even as Separatists were spotted approaching their location. The Jedi Healer informed Windu of the details of the unexpected battle, and the Jedi Master resolved to put an end to the Crimson Nova's activities with a mission to the Rig, their base of operations.
The Separatists presumably retained control of Null after the Jedi were forced to abandon their position.

Second Battle of New Holstice

a Clone Wars battle where the Mandalorians, led by Spar, engaged the Republic forces, led by Commander CC-5052, and Jedi Aayla Secura.
The battle ended with a full retreat by the Mandalorian forces, and the strength of Bly's unit down to about 60%.

Mission to the Rig

a mission undertaken by members of the Jedi High Council during the Clone Wars.
In the aftermath of the
Battle of Null, the Jedi Council learned that a bounty had been posted on the Jedi, and that members of the Crimson Nova bounty hunters guild were attempting to collect. Rather than have his Jedi be targets on and off the battlefield, Mace Windu assembled a team of the most powerful Jedi available—Jedi Masters Kit Fisto, Saesee Tiin and Agen Kolar, the same Jedi that would later fight with Palpatine—and infiltrated the Crimson Nova headquarters on The Rig spacestation.
Windu's team successfully breached The Rig's security. Mace himself remained fully visible to the bounty hunters, deflecting attention from the other Jedi. Kolar posed as
Argent Kole, a bounty hunter looking to collect credits for his "captive", Kit Fisto. While Fisto incited riots among the prisoners, Tiin, in the guise of a smuggler, set off an explosion in the hangar bays.
With The Rig in turmoil, the Jedi executed their show of force, fighting their way into the command center and ensuring the deaths of the guild leaders. The bounties were rescinded, and the originator,
Kh'aris Fenn, was later executed by Quinlan Vos.

Battle of Zaadja

With the progression of the Clone Wars, the Separatist forces began growing as new worlds and allies began joining the war against the Republic. Using numerous worlds as manufacturing bases, the Separatist Droid Army began adding to its ranks a seemingly endless supply of droids. One of the many planets chosen to provide the Separatists with material needed for the war was the world of Zaadja. Realizing that they needed a way to slow down the Separatist's droid production, the Republic began formulating a variety of missions aimed at neutralizing as many of these factory-worlds as possible. When word of the facility on Zaadja reached the Republic, a special mission was formulated by the Jedi and placed under the direction of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Tohno. Along with Kenobi's Padawan Anakin Skywalker and the Third Systems Army, Kenobi and Tohno traveled to Zaadja to carry out their mission.

The battle

In a plan developed by Obi-Wan Kenobi and Tohno, and approved by Jedi Masters Mace Windu and Oppo Rancisis, the Republic mission called for a two-pronged course of action: Acting as a diversion, Kenobi and Skywalker would lead the Third Systems Army onto the field of battle to draw the Separatist forces away from the droid factory on Zaadja; concurrently, Tohno was tasked to infiltrate the droid factory and destroy it using military-grade explosives. Due to her unique training in architecture and engineering, Tohno was chosen for this specific mission because her skills would allowed her to determine how best to destroy the manufacturing plant. If the diversion and mission was successful, then Tohno would be able to extract herself back to Republic lines where she would rejoin Kenobi and the Third Systems Army.
Although Tohno was initially able to infiltrate the factory unnoticed, she was soon discovered by a large number of Geonosian soldiers tasked with preventing such an incursion. Using
the Force to conceal her movements, she managed to get past the majority of enemies, but was confronted by a Geonosian sentry before she was able to reach the heart of the factory. Fighting her way through a large number of the enemy, Tohno was able to plant the majority of her explosives before more Geonosians caught up with her.
Meanwhile, a restless Anakin Skywalker, who had been struggling with the need for so many Jedi to sacrifice themselves thus far in the war, sensed that Tohno's survival was in jeopardy. Using his radio to communicate with her, Skywalker reassured her that he was inbound to her position with a
gunship to lend her his aid. Disregarding her own personal safety, Tohno ordered the young Padawan to remain with Master Kenobi and his clone soldiers. Though Skywalker continued to argue with her, Tohno was able to convince him that if he came after her, it would cause needless casualties among the troopers of the Third System Army. Having realized that she would not survive her mission, Tohno wanted to complete it with as little loss of life as possible. Reluctantly turning back to the Republic lines, Skywalker came to understand that Tohno's personal sacrifice was what was needed for the mission's success.
While she had been reasoning with Skywalker, Tohno had managed to make her way to the center of the factory, which contained the power core for the whole facility—it was also where she was confronted by more Geonosian soldiers. Though she was able to mount an impressive defense, Tohno was eventually overrun by the enemy soldiers—nevertheless, using the Force she was able to throw her
lightsaber at her pack which contained the remaining explosives she had brought with her. The lightsaber set off the explosives and a massive chain reaction perpetuated by the power core, and the explosives she had already placed elsewhere. The resulting explosion was on an enormous scale and completely destroyed the factory, as well as wiping out all of the Separatist forces surrounding it.

Aftermath

The success of the battle caused the Separatist forces to lose a vital resource with which to expand their military forces. Nonetheless, the Zaadja factory was but one of many such facilities, and the Republic continued with their designs to further impede manufacturing for the Separatists.
The Battle of Zaadja was also one of many emotional milestones for the young Jedi Anakin Skywalker, who increasingly encountered difficulties with the sacrifices he witnessed. Though he was reluctant to accept it, Skywalker agreed with Tohno's decision to end the Zaadja mission with as little loss of life as possible. Nonetheless, Skywalker would continue to struggle with the need for so many young, and promising, Jedi to sacrifice themselves throughout the course of the war.

Battle of Virujansi

The Separatists were using the planet as a staging-grounds for a significant number of battle droids. Obi-Wan Kenobi led the ground force, while Anakin Skywalker led the aerial units, which included the Rarefied Air Cavalry, a military unit which Garven "Dave" Dreis served in.
The result was a significant Republic victory.
